The most stress free time away. Perfect!

We had an amazing stay, we took our 17 month old and enjoyed every second. Nothing was stressful as we had everything we needed. Hotel was perfect, pool was great- perfect temperature! Rooms were lovely, bathroom celling could have done with a little TLC. Freddo on the kids pillow was a lovely touch! We didn’t eat there we ate at a lovely pub down the road, however we had breakfast which was lovely, amazing views on the animals too. Early access to the park in the morning via a short walk. Was a microwave in the restaurant we could use to heat our toddlers milk and a fridge in the room to keep the milk and waters cold!

Would stay again, out of school holidays.

Good place to stay for work, when there are no school holidays. Staff are friendly, facilities are good, rooms are a good size with tea and coffee and a fridge.

Everything was good on this trip.

Good and enjoyable.

The staff and the pool were good.

No access to zoo or adventure park. Only friends and family were allowed to use this when we stayed from Thursday 13th march to 16th. We payed enough money to stay and would have had no problem paying to use the zoo or park, but we didn’t have the option.I understand it’s off season but with two small children it was very disappointing.

Lovely hotel Well worth a visit

The location was great as visiting family nearby. The hotel room was large and our toddler loved all the animal pictures and figures. Breakfast thoroughly enjoyed

Asked for a cot which wasn’t in the room and had to ask twice. Finally arrived at 8 when bedtime is 6.30!!

Unusual setting, well themed, themed rooms, late check in, free parking friendly staff clean and well managed

Pool opening times started too late for me as a business traveller, breakfast could have been a bit warmer.

What was the highlight of Chessington Safari Hotel

Overall we loved our stay at the Chessington Azteca Hotel and it's so easy to get to the Theme Park.

The children's bunk in the Discovery Family Room - being in it's own little nook, my child loves this aspect of these rooms and had a wonderful time in his section of the room. There was a little puzzle to complete to open the safe and when we completed it there were Oreo's inside which he also loved! Thank you Chessington. He also loved that housekeeping positioned his beloved teddies when they made up the room - he thinks that they enjoyed this attention. The pool was fun and having access to the Azteca Gate is brilliant and makes entry to the park so quick and easy. The staff in the Temple restauruant at breakfast were very helpful and friendly.

We asked for an early check in which was abruptly denied however on the day we were texted to say our room was available at 1pm - we were travelling when we got the message and would have left home earlier if we had known:( We also asked for the longer window as per the photograph on the booking site however when we arrived we were given a room with the shorter (higher) window and the only view from it was of a bit of ugly roofing and this was the only thing my child could see given his height. I also didn't like that the walkway out to the Savannah was closed due to maintenance being required to ensure the boards safety as this meant a lesser view of the animals when they were out due to the distance and bushes etc. and this had been something we had enjoyed on previous visits. On previous October visits the play area at the Azteca Gate and the Wananyma Village have been open after hours for a short time and it was a shame that this was not the case during our stay this time. The evenings had beautiful weather during this stay and it would have been lovely to be able to walk round in the early evening after Chessington theme park was closed. Before and during our stay - a member of staff did tell us it would be open after 5pm however this was not the case and therefore caused dissapointment. The restaurants were slow and way overpriced this year. and the removal of the animal enclosures from inside the Safari hotel is not positive. An increase in large bright screens and gaming areas within the hotel takes away from the relaxing atmosphere it has had in the past as children are drawn to these and it causes constant conflict as they ask for more and more money to play the games each day.

Some staff were exceptionally good, we will return but hope the r eservatiosn process improves!

Location, the room, facilities in and around the hotel. Staff in the restaurant in the morning. were all exceptionally good. Thank you.

When we arrived, the hotel had lost our reservation. it took some time to get a room. I was travelling with a young adult with autism who finds delay and disruption very, VERY difficult. It was resolved and we were found a good room, and individual staff were fab, but hope that this problem doesn’t arise again.

It was value for money at £ 89 per night, but would not want to pay much more.

Welcoming and efficient staff. Helped us with ulez and taxis.

Thought the breakfast offering was average. Not a great choice eg no porridge or scrambled egg. Cold plates.

Good

I liked how much their was for the children to do.

we didn't like the view from our window, half the window was stickers, and the other half was the veiw of the bins on the front. we were kept awake late on both nights by the bangs of the rubbish being put in the bins. we thought out room would look on to the park.

Very Good

Clean, tidy, food good, if a little limited in range. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A bit noisy in the early evening because of the child entertainment. It works as a business hotel, but the entertainment part can be a little bit 'in your face' at times, even though I went during term time, not school holidays. They could do with a power socket next to the bed

Always enjoy staying here great theming throughout and fabulous view over the park at Breakfast. Rooms comfortable and nephew enjoyed the treasure hunt although a little tricky to get the correct code!

Nice and quiet; the lions were asleep.

Large, well-appointed room (as a single traveller, I'd somehow got a family room) in a quiet location. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with traditional, vegetarian and vegan choices available.

But no one to contact when there is a problem. I left something in my room. No phone number. What should have been a call, and check the room, turned into a three week filling in forms which clearly led to the item going missing. Poor customer services
